1.Olea europaea Plant History in short:

Olive leaf extract powder is extracted from the leaves of the olive. Olive (Olea europaea) is oleaceae osmanthus fragrans lam evergreen trees, is a world famous woody oil plants and fruit with tree species and cultivars had higher nutritional value, rich in high quality edible vegetable oil, olive oil, as an important economic trees, famous tropical fruit trees and distributed mainly in the Mediterranean countries, have cultivated in subtropical regions in the world.  It is also cultivated south of Yangtze River in China. 

2.The Active Ingredient of Olive leaf extract Powder

The main active ingredient of olive leaf extract powder is Oleuropein. Oleuropein is the main source of olive tree, can protect skin cells from uv rays, prevent ultraviolet radiation to the skin membrane lipid decomposition, promotes the fiber cell to generate for collagen protein and fiber cells for collagen enzyme secretion, block cell membrane resistance to hydrolysis reaction, thus highly protected fiber cells, natural protection against skin damage caused by oxidation,  is more protected from UV damage, effectively maintain the skin tender and elastic, to achieve the effect of nourishing and tender skin. 

3.Oleuropein Physical and Chemical Properties

A. Oleuropein will decompose when exposed to air and sunlight. It is recommended to be stored in a low temperature and sealed under dark conditions. 

B. Oleuropein is soluble in ethanol, acetone, glacial acetic acid, 5%NaOH solution, and soluble in water, butanol, ethyl acetate, butyl acetate, etc 

C. Oleuropein is almost insoluble in ether, petroleum ether, chloroform, carbon tetracloride, etc.
